West Island Liberal MNAs holding press conference on Friday
The four West Island MNAs,  Jacques-Cartier's Geoffrey Kelley, Nelligan's Yolande James, Robert-Baldwin's Pierre Marsan and Francois Ouimet of Marquette will be holding another press conference on Friday morning to go over the campaign to date as well as to outline their objectives for the last push before the September 4 election.  As of press time, the location of the conference had not been selected but was either going to take place at James' or Marsan's campaign HQ.

Jacques-Cartier CAQ candidate goes on Listening Tour
Paola Hawa, who is running against the well-liked Liberal incumbent Geoffrey Kelley in the riding of Jacques-Cartier, is holding an event tonight where the CAQ candidate will be listening and responding to the concerns of voters at a town hall style approach.
At 7 p.m., Hawa will be taking and answering questions from concerned voters at the Briarwood Presbyterian Church located at 70 Beaconsfield Boulevard.  Attendance is free and all Jacques-Cartier voters are encouraged to attend.

Green candidate joins the fray
Alex Tyrell, a West Island resident who previously worked on federal NDP campaigns for West Island ridings, has joined the election trail and this past week, started putting up posters as a candidate for the Green Party.  To learn more about his policies and platform, go on-line at www.votealex.ca
