Team seeks community support

August 15th, 2012

The Lakeshore U-10 AA Girls is asking for the community’s support  to become the 2012 BMO Team of the Week Champion.
The team is one of the 15 finalists in BMO’s national grassroots youth soccer contest and are asking the community to cast their online vote daily to help become the BMO Team of the Week Champion from August 13-27 by visiting www.BMOsoccer.com.
“For three years I have had the privilege of coaching these girls, who demonstrate what it means to be leaders every day. With every game, every practice, we build upon our dedication to and respect for each other.
“It is clear that they play soccer for the love of the game and their teammates. But they also think of others - not only through their encouragement of other teams, but also by supporting fundraising activities for a local child in need of special cerebral palsy therapy.,’ says Georgia Genovezos.
Winning the championship means the team will receive a $125,000 upgrade to their community soccer pitch, a team trip to see a Toronto FC, Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps FC or Canadian National Team home game and $5,000 that will go to the Montreal Children’s Hospital to the Hematology-Oncology department.
“Winning the BMO Team of the Week Championship is really important to us, but we can’t do it without your help in making our community aware of the need to vote for us,” says Genovezos.
Visit www.BMOsoccer.com to vote for the Lakeshore U-10 AA girls.
