Canada’s Best Triathletes Set to Toe the Line in New Zealand for World Championships

Canada’s best triathletes have arrived in Auckland, New Zealand, focused on fighting their way back onto the international podium in all race categories at the 2012 World Championships , October 20-21, 2012.
Triathlon Canada has sent 18 athletes that will compete in the elite, under-23 and junior races. The governing body for triathlon in Canada will also register 311 age groupathletes and six paratriathletes that will compete against the world’s best.

The women’s race will be online at 7:10 p.m. EST on Friday, October 19, and will also be broadcast on CBC TV Sports Weekend, October 20, at 2 p.m. EST. The men’s can be viewed online at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, and a replay will hit the air on CBC TV Sport Weekend, October 27, at 2 p.m. EST.
